My visa was approved really quickly, I think it was about 2 weeks. SWAP simplifies the application process for you which was helpful. IEP (Swaps partner down under) was really helpful. They saved me hours of frustration and worry and made things like getting a bank account and a cell phone plan easy. IEP sets up events where you can go and meet other travelers, and can help you find a job and place to live. In the end, I found the money I paid for SWAPs membership to be of great value, and so I would recommend it to you.

I'm thinking about making a Q & A section for the blog as I've been getting lots of messages on Facebook and the questions are usually very similar, so keep an eye out for that in the future.
